Railcert
Railcert is an independent subsidiary of Movares and TÜV Süddeutschland. Each company has a 50% stake. Railcert is accredited by the Dutch transport ministry to assess, approve and certify railway systems and products for the high-speed network. Railcert is hence a Notified Body within the meaning of EU Directive 96/48.
In November 2003, Railcert also became a Notified Body for conventional lines, under Directive 2001/16. Railcert was the first company to acquire this status and is currently the only one.

Infraflex BV
Infraflex is a secondment agency for technical personnel, created by three engineering consultancies: DHV, Grontmij and Movares.
Infraflex recruits, selects and places competent consultants and engineers in the following fields: civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, traffic engineering, environmental engineering and environmental law.
In addition to secondment, Infraflex provides payroll services, traineeships, pool management, procurement support for temporary staffing needs and executive search.
Vof HR-DHV
Vof HR-DHV was created in 1996. Holland Railconsult and DHV each form half of the company, which is dedicated to the HSL Zuid project (the high-speed line linking the Netherlands and Belgium). Along with other capacity providers, the partnership acts as an intermediary between Holland Railconsult/DHV on the one hand and the HSL-Zuid project organization on the other. This is therefore a performance-based service. The partnership is effectively an agency that makes personnel available to the Directorate-General of Public Works and Water Management.
Vof Stationseiland
Vof Stationseiland is a joint venture between Movares and Arcadis Bouw/Infra. Each company has a 50% stake. This partnership was created to provide engineering and support services for projects related to Amsterdam Centraal Station. The enlarged Westtunnel is now complete and has entered service. Work is under way on extending the sidings to the west of the station and building the structures required for the north-south underground line. Projects to provide additional space for parking bicycles and to run a cycleway under the sidings are both at the specification phase. The partnership is also engaged on a number of smaller projects. It is expected to remain in existence up to 2010 at least.
Vof De Ruijterkade
Vof De Ruijterkade is a joint venture between Movares and Arcadis Bouw/Infra. Each company has a 50% stake. This partnership was created to provide engineering and support services for the rebuilding of the De Ruijterkade, the quay on the north side of Amsterdam Centraal Station. The project includes an underpass for cars, a bus station, a canopy and a new quay, jetties and landing stages. Movares is responsible for project management, installations, geotechnology and environmental engineering. Arcadis is looking after traffic issues, together with cables and pipework, with the two companies sharing the civil engineering tasks. Movares is also responsible for the structural design of the canopy. The partnership started work in 2000.
Tritel TV - Movares
Movares has set up a temporary association under Belgian law (similar to a Dutch Vof) with Tritel, a Brussels-based Belgian consultancy. The purpose of the partnership is to conduct a study on expansion of the rail network in the Belgian part of Limburg. Light rail forms part of the study. The customer is the Limburgse Reconversie Maatschappij. The Hasselt - Lanaken - Maastricht route forms part of the study. The partnership was created in 2002. The study is scheduled for completion in 2003.
Vof X-pact
X-Pact (pronounced ‘cross-pact’) is dedicated to the construction of level crossings. X-pact brings together engineering consultants Movares and Arcadis, plus contractors Volker Stevin Rail & Traffic, Strukton Railinfra and BAM-NMB Rail. The planned life of X-pact is seven years. Over that period, hundreds of level crossings with flasher light signals will be replaced by automatic half-barriers. The short lines of communication between the consultancies and the contractors enhance efficiency, as does standardization of the conversion procedure. An optimum division of tasks is sought for each level crossing.
Vof Watergraaf
Vof Watergraaf is a joint venture between Movares and Grontmij Maunsell. Each company has a 50% stake. The partnership was created in 2002, in consultation with rail infrastructure manager ProRail. The partnership was set up in connection with the first phase of Regionet. Regionet will be influencing the priority accorded to various rail projects in and around Amsterdam. The partnership takes its name from the first project – upgrading the line between Watergraafsmeer and Muiderpoort to four tracks, and building a new station at Muiderpoort. Although the initial focus was Amsterdam, Vof Watergraaf could take on projects elsewhere in the country.
